Struggling with Mails and first Sponsoring

Hello dear Larpbook Community,

As promised, I want to keep you up to date on what is happening.

First of all, we are now at about 350 beta testers and so far everything is still technically very stable, which makes us very happy and gives us a secure feeling for future adjustments.

Unfortunately, we are still struggling a bit with the mails, which are all sent out but take a long time to reach those who are waiting for their activation. I am therefore currently activating all new users manually so that when they try out their login, they can get in without having to wait for the mail. However, I will postpone this problem for a while because…

We have received a first big sponsoring offer from a Larper who runs a company with its own data center and offers us extensive services there. This is already securing us major growth, because we will then be able to scale extensively on the new hardware. With the move to the new data center environment, the issue with the mail will also be resolved, which is why we don’t want to invest any more energy now in getting an interim solution off the ground.

Who exactly is sponsoring us, what the other finances look like and how the project wants to deal with them in the future will definitely be made transparent, but we first have to make a few clarifying decisions within the team 🙂

Please help us to grow, because the more people who take part in this beta test, the better we can research the technical requirements of our system and the more likely it is that this project will be successful. Every single one of you is an important building block and together we can make this a success.

Hallo liebe Larpbook Community,

Wie versprochen will ich euch weiter auf dem Laufenden halten was passiert.

Zunächst einmal sind wir jetzt bei ca. 350 Beta-Testern und bis jetzt läuft technisch noch immer alles sehr stabil, was uns sehr glücklich macht und ein sicheres Gefühl für kommende Anpassungen gibt.

Leider struggeln wir noch immer etwas mit den Mails, die zwar alle rausgeschickt werden, aber wohl sehr lange brauchen bis sie bei denjenigen ankommen, die auf ihre Aktivierung warten. Daher aktiviere ich alle neuen User aktuell manuell, sodass wenn sie ihren Login ausprobieren auch reinkommen ohne auf die Mail warten zu müssen. Ich werde dieses Problem allerdings noch etwas aufschieben denn…

Wir haben ein erstes großes Sponsoring Angebot von einem Larper erhalten der eine Firma mit eigenem Rechenzentrum führt und uns dort umfangreiche Services bietet. Das sichert uns schon jetzt auch ein großes Wachstum ab, weil wir auf der neuen Hardware dann umfangreich skalieren können. Mit dem Umzug in die neue Rechenzentrumumgebung wird sich dann auch das Thema mit den Mail erledigen, weswegen wir jetzt keine Energie mehr investieren wollen noch eine Zwischenlösung an den Start zu bringen.

Wer uns genau sponsort, wie es mit den sonstigen Finanzen aussieht und wie das Projekt zukünftig damit umgehen möchte werden wir auf jeden Fall noch transparent machen, müssen uns aber Teamintern erst um ein paar klärende Entscheidungen bemühen 🙂

Bitte helft uns weiter zu wachsen, denn je mehr Leute sich an diesem Beta-Test beteiligen umso besser können wir die technischen Anforderungen an unser System erforschen und umso wahrscheinlicher wird auch der Erfolg dieses Projektes. Jeder einzelne von euch ist ein wichtiger Baustein und gemeinsam können wir das hier erfolgreich machen.
