End of Beta and App release

Hello dear Larpbook community,

today, just casually, we have some rather big news from the Larpbook front. 🙂

We have decided to officially declare the beta phase over. From a technical point of view, everything is running steadily for now, and the features we currently provide are doing their job well.

And even though the news feed still is not exactly overflowing with activity, the page statistics suggest that more and more LARPers are stopping by more often and hopefully finding something useful here. Maybe because they are looking for a location, or maybe simply because they want to check in and get an overview of the project again.

To make it even easier for more LARPers to use Larpbook in everyday life, we have also made the effort to bring Larpbook to the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store. So from now on, you can find Larpbook as an app in both stores and hopefully use the mobile version comfortably wherever you are. 🙂

A huge thank-you goes out to Christian for this – and of course also to Daniel for the groundwork!

With the apps now available and the beta phase behind us, we are excited to see how Larpbook continues to develop. And we are grateful for every single one of you who helps carry the news about the latest developments, and the project as a whole, out into the world!

We still believe in the idea of a social media platform made specifically for our hobby: without endless advertising, without passing on user data, and without endlessly feeding algorithms for the benefit of large companies.

By LARPers, for LARPers. Servers in Germany. Transparency. No profit motive. A clear set of values.
That is what we want Larpbook to stand for.

Hallo liebe Larpbook-Community,

heute gibt es mal so ganz nebenbei etwas größere Neuigkeiten an der Larpbook-Front. 🙂

Wir haben beschlossen, die Beta-Phase für beendet zu erklären. Technisch läuft inzwischen alles erstmal stabil und die Funktionen, die wir aktuell bereitstellen, tun insgesamt gut ihren Dienst.

Und auch wenn im Newsfeed weiterhin noch nicht super viel los ist, lassen die Statistiken zu den Seitenaufrufen schon vermuten, dass doch immer mehr Larper*innen häufiger mal hier vorbeischauen und hoffentlich auch Mehrwerte finden. Vielleicht, weil sie auf der Suche nach einer Location sind, vielleicht, weil sie sich einfach mal wieder einen Überblick über das Projekt verschaffen wollen.

Damit aber noch mehr Larper*innen das Larpbook noch einfacher im Alltag verwenden können, haben wir uns die Mühe gemacht, das Larpbook auch als App im Apple App Store und im Google Play Store verfügbar zu machen. In beiden Stores findet ihr das Larpbook jetzt also als App und könnt es hoffentlich ganz komfortabel überall als mobile Version nutzen. 🙂

Hier geht ein riesiger Dank an Christian raus – und natürlich auch an die Vorarbeit von Daniel!

Mit den Apps und dem Ende der Beta-Phase freuen wir uns jetzt darauf, die weitere Entwicklung des Larpbooks zu verfolgen. Und wir freuen uns über jeden von euch, derdie die Kunde der neuesten Entwicklungen und des Projektes als Ganzes in die Welt hinausträgt!

Wir glauben weiterhin an die Idee einer Social-Media-Plattform speziell für unser Hobby: ohne endlose Werbung, ohne Datenweitergabe und ohne das endlose Befüttern von Algorithmen zum Vorteil großer Firmen.

Das ist es, wofür wir mit dem Larpbook stehen wollen.
